The Pet Pantry Warehouse, an independent and local retailer with strong emphasis on healthy and holistic foods and products, has announced the opening of its newest location at 2444 Boston Post Rd. in Larchmont, N.Y.
The Pet Pantry Warehouse is a company that is taking a different path than most retailers today. Whereas many are cutting back staff and halting expansion, the Pet Pantry Warehouse is expanding and opening their third store. In addition to the Larchmont store, the company has locations in Rye and in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The Pet Pantry Warehouse, which began 65 years ago in Greenwich, sees the neighborhood pet store as an important alternative to big box, chain stores. Owner and executive vice pPresident Adam Jacobson explains, “Our number one goal at the Pet Pantry is to translate our knowledge of animal health and nutrition to our customers so that they can provide the healthiest environment for their pets. Today, pets are a very important part of the family, and the Pet Pantry Warehouse has built their success on serving all of its “members.”
As their slogan states, “We dish out the good stuff,” the Pet Pantry Warehouse offers healthy and nutritious foods and treats, including a comprehensive selection of fresh frozen foods. The company demonstrates its connection to the local community by holding events such as “Yappy Hour,” which brings together customers and their pets to share in mingling, food tasting and special treats. Or, the annual “Howl & Prowl” costume parade, which brings out hundreds of pets and pet parents donning costumes, with proceeds donated to Adopt-A-Dog Inc., a dog and cat rescue organization serving New York and Connecticut.
The newest Pet Pantry Warehouse at 2444 Boston Post Rd. in Larchmont is inviting the entire Larchmont community to visit the store on Saturday, April 10. There will be free treats for all pets, free face painting for kids and – if the pets approve – a few special surprises for their pet parents.
