Missing From MHS Class of ’59? 50th Reunion Approaches

Emails have been flying back and forth among members of the Mamaroneck High School Class of 1959, which is preparing for its 50th reunion on Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th at the Renaissance Hotel in White Plains. Scheduled to attend are 100 classmates of which 35 are bringing spouses/guests.  Some are coming from as far away as Italy, Washington State, Oregon, and California as well as from all over the United States.

“The use of emails has certainly made a huge difference and helped to keep the class stay in contact with each other,” said Vivien Bonnist Cord, one of the reunion organizers. “The class has held reunions diligently starting with the 10th,” she noted. “After the 10th, all meetings were held in our home and the core group of the committee has remained faithful with few exceptions.”

Holding major events every ten years, the class has also come together in five year increments at less formal affairs. The fiftieth will be the best attended of all of them, with many classmates coming to their first MHS reunion ever.
