When Mamaroneck High School held its senior prom on June 12, there were balloons, ballgowns, tuxedos and all manner of dancing. Missing, however, were the seniors who play on the Tiger baseball team and were preparing to compete for the New York State championships, which they went on to win on Saturday, June 19.

Ultimately, the Tigers also got to attend a prom. As he did after last year’s championship win, Coach Mike Chiapparelli threw the team a “Chappy Prom” – complete with balloons, ballgowns, tuxedos and all manner of dancing.
