Change is in the air! For starters Ren, a big city kid, had to move from Chicago to Bomont, where even dancing is outlawed. But change is coming to Bomont, too.
That’s the story line of “Footloose, The Musical,” Mamaroneck High School’s senior musical production for 2009. There are plenty of other changes at MHS, including one of the largest casts of students in recent history. There’s also a new director, Stacie Moye; a new choreographer, Abby Schwittek; and a new choral director, Erica Zimmerman. Fran Barski is again producing and Travis Sullivan is the pit director.
The show opens in the high school’s Post Road McLain Auditorium on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 23, 24 and 25 at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and high school students and $8 for children in 8th grade and younger. Tickets will be available at the door the nights of the shows.
