Ms. Curnin, president of the Library Board President, accepted the check and thanked the Friends for their continued support for the children’s room redo. “The Friends of the Larchmont Library is a great friend indeed,” said Ms. Curnin. “With their generous donations, we are well on our way to meeting our ambitious fundraising goal.”
The Friends’ recent donation is in addition to a previous donation of $50,000 given back in December 2008. Work on the children’s room is expected to be completed late fall 2009. Demolition is already underway.
