Cindy Vucetovic of Cindy’s Hair Studio at 137 Mamaroneck Avenue in Mamaroneck Village first met Nancy Joselson, executive director of Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF) at the salon. They connected instantly and began working on the idea of a kick-off event for the Annual PCF Bike-a-thon fundraiser, which benefits pediatric research in area hospitals.
The idea was blue hair extensions.
Ms. Vucetovic offered to give blue hair extensions at her salon to anyone who donates $10 to PCF during the month of May. (Please call Cindy ahead of time at 914-835-3876.)

Supporters of Pediatric Cancer Foundation got blue hair extensions from Cindy Vucetovic (far right).
On Friday May 7, a number of girls from the Mamaroneck schools, including many girl scouts, came to Cindy’s Hair Studio to get their blue streaks. There were also members of MHS4PCF, the Mamaroneck High School club that supports PCF.
PCF Bike-a-thon is May 16
The MHS club raised $500 through bake sales towards the 10th Annual PCF Bike-a-thon on May 16 along the Bronx River Parkway beginning at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. You can bike, run, walk or simply come and show support for PCF. There will also be food, face painting, raffles and many more entertainments for kids and adults. Log on to www.pcfbike.org to register.
