Firefighters Battle on Ice to Benefit Rasor Family: Ap 16

Two local fire departments will be facing off at the Hommocks Ice Rink at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 16 for the first annual “Fire on Ice” benefit games. The Town of Mamaroneck and Village of Mamaroneck departments will be raising funds for the Rasor Family Trust in honor of Richard Drew Rasor, Jr. of Larchmont, who died suddenly on March 30 at the age of 48.

Mr. Rasor had friends and neighbors in the fire departments. “Rich was also involved with the hockey league,” said TMFD Chief Sean McCarthy. “He loved hockey.”

“Being at his funeral today, with over 800 people at St. Augustine’s, it showed how beloved Rich was,” said the chief on April 6.

Mr. Rasor leaves behind his wife Kathleen Brustman Rasor and four children, Drew, 13, Ryan, 12, Katie, 9, and Robbie, 6. All proceeds from the benefit game will go to a fund for the children.
