Today, March 13^th, 2010, with the Nor’easter that we are experiencing I am sure the Larchmont Fire Department must be going out on call after call with downed electrical wires and downed tree branches. I just get very frustrated that I was denied to rejoin the department on account of a New York State rule on the number of non- residents who can volunteer.

I get so frustrated that I cannot be a member when I know that the department needs manpower on days like this .

I get along with most of the paid staff in the department. I just feel like I am being punished by Josh Mandell [Village of Larchmont trustee and fire commissioner]. He is trying to abide by the New York State rules, but I think he is standing by the member that I had a difference with.
