Congratulations to George Latimer for taking a 3% cut in his salary. When the company I worked for was in deep financial trouble, we all took pay cuts from 10% up to 20%. Our company survived and so did we.
Most of our state representatives think they got elected to hold a lifetime career as our representatives. That is not the way most voters see it. No matter what their achievements may be, if any, we did not elect them to a lifetime career. Most of them have families. They ought to spend more time with their families and friends and not treat Albany as though it was their second home. It isn’t!
Why don’t they step down and let others represent us? What we need most in Albany is fresh blood and fresh thinking.
