Kempers Contribute to Fields for Kids

Our children are our future. Hence, nothing is more important than their education and welfare. All those who have struggled to provide the children of Larchmont and Mamaroneck with the athletic fields they need understand that.

All those who have struggled to preserve Richard Kemper Park outside Mamaroneck High School as it was deeded to the community understand that. In the past the two groups were viewed by some as being on opposite sides. But that was never the case. Both were and are on the side of our children.

So too was Lieutenant Richard Kemper, my uncle, who was killed in action in 1945.

Therefore, I have written a check in his name to Fields for Kids. The check might be viewed as Lieutenant Kemper’s contribution to the current campaign to raise the funds needed to turn Mamaroneck High School’s Memorial Field into a first class all weather year round athletic facility.
