Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Fields For Kids Nears Fundraising Goal

Keep the field donations coming!

As you can see from our fundraising graphic, MHS Memorial Field Project 2010 is nearing in on its goal.  Thanks to a great outpouring of support from all corners of the community, we have raised over $1,250,000 of the $1,365,000 needed to renovate Memorial Field at the high school.

But we’re not there yet.  And our deadline of  November 1 is fast approaching.  With a little teamwork, we can get it done.  If you would like your family to be part of this project, we urge you to send your donation in right away.  We are hoping for participation from as many families in the community as possible.  Every dollar counts.

You can go to our website (www.fieldsforkidsmamk.org) to learn more or donate online. Thank you so much for helping us fix this flagship field at the heart of our community.

I can hardly wait to give my heartfelt congratulations to my friends and neighbors of Larchmont and Mamaroneck who have contributed to this goal…but we still need to get there!!! This is a community effort in every way and to those able to donate and to Fields for Kids, I give you my neighborly thanks. It is due to your generous and tireless support that “respectable” fields in our town may become a reality. I look forward to watching homecoming games with my community of friends and neighbors in years to come. BUT PLEASE KEEP THE DONATIONS COMING.
