Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS


In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Cap Center Announces New Advisory Board

It is with pleasure that we announce the election of a New Mamaroneck CAP [Community Action Program] Advisory Board. Elections were held on December 8th at the CAP Center in Mamaroneck.

Jim McDonald of the Town [of Mamaroneck] and John Farris of [the Village of] Mamaroneck were elected co-chairman thru September 30th, 2010.

The new CAP Advisory Board has elected Keith Yizar, Chairman Emeritus, as the Mamaroneck CAP representative to WestCOP. WestCOP is the organization that oversees and helps to fund all the CAP Centers in Westchester County. We would like to express our appreciation to Keith for his never-ending devotion to the Mamaroneck CAP Center and the youth of our community. He is truly an inspiration to all of us.
