Editorial

The Larchmonter Times, June 1, 1922

It was an inspiring sight - the official opening of Flint Park last Friday afternoon when at a given signal "Old Glory" was unfurled to the breeze and hoisted to the mast amid the singing of our country's national anthem by the several hundred present.

The park and just what it will mean to Larchmont in the future remains to be seen. It is for us to say just how we develop it and provide for the improvements which are in the minds of the an enthusiastic and progressive Recreation Commission. The Commission is eager to devote much time to doing for the "kiddies." That is the actual work, but it is up to us to provide the necessary ammunition to bring about the desired results.

Flint Park is a splendid asset to Larchmont and something that would make any place envious of us.
