Youths seeking employment are brought together with the residents and businesses of the community. Opportunities for applicants include part-time and summer jobs, as well as full time work, as appropriate. Most jobs pay $5 per hour or more. YES suggests pay rates but the final decision is determined by the employer.

YES also provides a summer advisory service for students seeking information on special camps and programs in the U.S. and abroad.

Additional Information: Employers are responsible for final decision in hiring. Babysitters are required to provide references from two employers. Tutors are required to provide references from teachers in the subjects to be tutored.
Volunteer Opportunities: Adult volunteers staff phones to bring employers and job-seekers together; help maintain records and perform other similar tasks.
