Planned Parenthood Committee of Larchmont welcomes local volunteers to support the activities of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP). For over 25 years, Planned Parenthood supporters in the Larchmont-Mamaroneck area have organized house tours and events to support PPHP.
In April, 2000 the Larchmont Committee hosted the second annual "Evening of Women's Humor" featuring well-known comedienne Judy Gold, to benefit Planned Parenthood's services in the New Rochelle Center and elsewhere in Westchester County.

| WHAT: | Volunteers are invited to participate in local fund raising activities and also to join the Responsible Choices Speakers Bureau, to serve as advocates for reproductive health rights and services in the public arena, or to become members of the Westchester Local Council of PPHP. |

In Westchester County Planned Parenthood provides complete gynecological care; a wide range of birth control methods, emergency contraception; pregnancy testing and options counseling; abortion services; prenatal care; detection and treatment of sexually transmitted infections; and mid- life gynecological care for women approaching or experiencing menopause.

PPHP also offers extensive public education and information on topics concerning sexuality, reproductive health, and related issues. Education and training programs are provided in schools and other community organizational settings. Books, videos, pamphlets, and curriculum may be accessed at PPHP's Library/Resource Center, 175 Tarrytown Road in White Plains.
