ALLEN DOPPKE
Allen Doppke, a retired Lieutenant of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Dept, passed away suddenly October 3, 2008 at age 68. Born December 28, 1939 in Port Chester to Alfonse & Lee (Latella) Doppke.Al served in the Navy from '59 - '63 and was honorably discharged. In addition to his work in the Police Department, he was also a manager at Post Road Boat Yard, Mamaroneck as well as Fiddler's Cove in Falmouth, Mass. The water was one of his greatest passions and he enjoyed boating and the Mamaroneck Harbor. Al was also an avid golfer.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Al is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen (Romanello) Doppke, cherished children, Ryan Doppke and Nicole Tobin (husband James) and loving brother Paul Doppke. He is predeceased by brothers Karl and Gregory.
Visitation Monday, October 6 from 5-9 PM at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck, (914) 698-5968. Funeral Mass Tuesday, October 7 at 11 AM at St. Gregory the Great RC Church followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
