MANUEL VIEIRA
Manuel Vieira, 82, peacefully passed away on August 5, 2008. He was born on August 24, 1925 in Portugal and was a long time resident of Mamaroneck.He was an avid gardener who enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, rose garden and among his fruit trees. Manuel worked for DeLaurentis Const. Co. and belonged to local #60 Labors Union for over 30 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Madalena Peralta Vieira. Manuel is survived by his daughter Helena Greco and husband Joseph Greco and three grandchildren Anthony, Karen, and Lisa Greco. Also a sister Maria Ruivo and brother Antonio Vieira and three stepchildren Gloria Cimaglia, Jack and Joseph Peralta.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday August 13 from 4-8 PM at O'Neill-Lanza Funeral Home, 422 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck NY. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, August 14 at 10 AM at St. Vitos Church, 816 Underbill Ave., Mamaroneck. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery High St., Rye Brook. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Phelps Memorial Hospital Fund, c/o Development Office, 701 No. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow NY 10591.
