ROBERT PETER GIAMPIA SR.
Robert Peter Giampia, Sr. a lifelong Mamaroneck resident went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2008 after a long illness. Robert graduated from Mamaroneck High School and was associated with Mamaroneck Gas and Electric until his retirement in 1980.During World War II he served as a radioman in the Navy on a landing ship tank vessel in the Pacific. He was a member of American Legion Post 90.
Beside his second wife, Anneliese of 33 years, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Degina (Patty) of North Carolina, Aurora Jones (Rori) husband James, of West Hampton Beach, a sister Grace Iannuzzi (husband Pat) of Florida. Grandfather of Kristy, Eric and Nicole. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. His first wife Irene, son Robert, grandson Keith and brother Jack died earlier.
