JAMES J. DEGINA SR.
James J. Degina Sr., a lifelong Mamaroneck resident, died suddenly on April 23, 2008.James was a decorated Navy Veteran of D Day where he served on the LST 332. He also participated in the African and Sicilian Campaign and was a member of American Legion Post 90.
James was a design engineer for the aeronautics industry. After retirement he served as a caring and dedicated crossing guard for the Rye Neck School.
Beloved husband of Eva, devoted father of James J. Jr. (wife Kathy), John and Carol Desmarais (husband Paul), loving brother to Lorraine Castagna and the late Fred, Cherished grandfather of Megan, Jamie, Kristy, Eric, Randi, Jessica, and the late Keith. Also survived by his sister in law Frances Degina.
Reposing Friday, April 25 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd. Mamk. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 26 at 10 am at St. Vito's R.C. Church followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
