ELYSE CONNOLLY
Elyse Connolly, age 75, of Patterson NY, formerly from Mamaroneck, NY, died April 9, 2008. Elise was born on April 18, 1932 in Port Chester, NY to George Travis and Cecelia (Tracey) Travis. Mrs. Elyse Connolly, married the love of her life Walter J. on October 3, 1950 in Danbury, CT.Elyse attended Port Chester, NY. schools and later was employed by United Hospital in Port Chester, NY where she was a nurse's assistant. Elyse was a devoted and compassionate women who took pride and focus in every path she took in life. She had a tremendous love for dogs and raised many Collies. Elyse had a hobby of training dogs and had one that she had trained as a therapy dog to visit nursing homes.
Most of all Elyse loved spending time with all her family. Elyse is predeceased by her husband Walter J. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Dawn Fischer(Robert) of Brewster, NY, Hollie Nordmann (Thomas) of Mamaroneck, NY, Gay Braiotta (Frank) of Brewster, NY, Tami Clinton (Edward) of Patterson, NY, and her two sons Walter Connolly Jr. of White Plains, NY and Todd Connolly (Quinghua) of New Rochelle, NY. She is predeceased by her brother James Travis and sister Cecelia VanLansen. Also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren, Scott and Tracy Ficher, Katie and Amber Nordmann, Kerri and Frank Braiotta, and Zhi Jin Elyse.
Connolly will be brought to her final resting place on Saturday April 12, 2008. A graveside ceremony will be celebrated at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Putnam Valley at 11:30am.
