ROBERT ALAN MCGIRR
Robert A McGirr, 77, a longtime resident of Larchmont died on March 1st, 2008. Robert graduated from both Fordham Prep and College. He worked at the Duffy-Mott Co. NY, NY for many years and the Wagner Seed Co. until his retirement. He was active at St. Augustine's Church as well as the Cub Scouts and enjoyed swimming at the Larchmont Shore Club.Among his hobbies Robert enjoyed weekend gardening and was an avid golfer, achieving a Hole-In-One at Siwanoy Country Club.
Beloved husband of Marilyn (Lyn) and loving father of Joseph, Noreen (Will), Cathy (Mark), and Lili (Kevin). Loved son of Page and Eileen. Dear brother of Gilbert (Betty), Eileen (Donald) and Page (deceased) (Yvonne). Adoring grandfather of Drew, Brody, Kayla, Nicolas and Nora along with many nieces and nephews. Lyn and Bob were married in May,1954 at St. Augustine's Church. Robert you will be remembered in our lives and hearts always.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday March 13, at 11:00 AM in St. Augustine's Church. Donations may be made to Fordham Prep, c/o John Bradley, Bronx NY 10458.
