EDWIN KAUFMAN
Dr. Edwin H. Kaufman, MD, of Larchmont, died February 9, 2008 at age 87. Born August 19, 1920 to Benjamin and Henrietta Kaufman. Dr. Kaufman served in the Army during WWII.Dr. Kaufman was a graduate of City College of New York in Manhattan and he later graduated the NYU College of Medicine in 1945. Dr. Kaufman practiced Medicine in Mamaroneck for forty years and was also an Attending Physician at New York United Hospital for forty years. He served as the Director of Medicine at United Hospital from 1968-1973 and also served on the Town of Mamaroneck Ethics Board. Dr. Kaufman was the President of the Sound Shore Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
He is survived by his beloved wife Valeria, cherished children, Jonathan Kaufman (wife Belinda), Carolyn Kaufman, and Andrea Aronson (husband Stephen). Loving grandfather of Daniel and Andrew Kaufman and Michael, Alexandra and Julianne Aronson and dear brother of the late Judith Kaufman.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 13 from 4:30-6:30 pm at COXE and GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767E. Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968 where a service will begin at 5:30pm. Memorial donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
