JOSEPH BORSELLINO
Joseph Borsellino died peacefully on January 16, 2008 in Naples, FL after a long illness at the age of 85. He was born in Cattolica Ereclea, Sicily on August 24, 1922 to Liborio and Gesua and moved to the U.S. in 1947. He married his beloved wife Josephine on October 9, 1949 and they settled in Silver Lake where he worked as a self-employed landscaper in Harrison and Scarsdale.Besides his wife, Joe is survived by his son Ben of Melbourne, FL and his daughter Ann of Yorktown Heights. Survivors also include his beloved nieces Maryann DeSanto and husband Fred, Clara DeCarlo and husband JR and his nephews Tony Morello and wife Pierina, Frank Morello and wife Ann, and Joe Morello and wife Maria. Joe also leaves his nephew Liborio Sicurella and wife Sandra, nieces Josephine Arcuri, and Jessa Ciccarello and husband Liborio all from Canada, as well as longtime friend Karen Peterson. Joe was predeceased by his parents, his brother Liborio, his sisters Santa Morello and husband John, and Anna Sicurella and husband Francesco.
Visitation hours are 5-9 pm on Monday and Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
