HENRY A. GRASSI
Henry A. Grassi, a Mamaroneck resident, passed away January 17, 2008. He was born May 16, 1916 to the late Rocco & Rose Grassi. He was the proprietor of Henry Grassi Construction Company, and was a member of the St. Vito's Church Choir as well as the Knights of Columbus of Harrison.Henry was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He loved to travel, sing and dance. He was a veracious reader, quoted Shakespeare and recited poetry in both Italian and French.
Henry is predeceased by his wife, Phyllis DeLisi, son, Henry Jr., grandson, Michael, and siblings, Benny, Simone & Frank Grassi and Emily Gasperini. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Fusco; children, Karen Colaneri, Bernard Fusco & Allan Fusco; grandchildren, John Grassi, Lisa Vison, Kara Colaneri, Michael Colaneri, Nigel Fusco, Shaun Fusco, as well as many nieces & nephews.
Henry's smile and song would light up a room, touching the lives of so many. Henry's positive spirit and loving heart will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation Friday, January 18 from 5-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Saturday, January 19 at 10 am, St. Vito's RC Church, followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
