Mamaroneck GOP Nominates Two for Trustee

Endorses Roger Sirlin for Re-election as Village Justice

from the Village of Mamaroneck Republican Committee

(September 4, 2008) The Village of Mamaroneck Republican Committee is pleased to announce its nominees for the November 4, 2008 Village election.

Ronald Trucchio
MLGreco
Mary Lou Greco

Ronald Trucchio, a first time candidate, is running for one of three seats on the Village Board. Mr. Trucchio is head of mutual fund trading at a Westchester-based asset management firm. "Mr. Trucchio brings with him a wealth of business and finance experience and would be a tremendous asset to the Board at a time when keeping taxes down and managing Village finances is of critical importance," said GOP Chairman John DeCrescenzo.

Mr. Trucchio’s priorities are to provide a transparent and open Village government that minimizes conflict and promotes harmony among all residents. He is concerned about the budget process and the fact that Village taxes are an increasing burden on all homeowners in the community. He wants to make sure that the Village Board is pursuing all possible avenues to increase revenues and keep costs down.

The GOP has also nominated Mary Lou Greco, a longtime resident of Mamaroneck who is also concerned about issues of flood control and land use planning in the Village. Ms. Greco is an administrative assistant from a small business in White Plains and is a member of the board of Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Greco, a resident of the Washingtonville section of Mamaroneck, is also a first time candidate.

RSirlinNominated for re-election to the Village bench is Roger H. Sirlin. Judge Sirlin has been on the bench since 1980 and is a former president of the Westchester Magistrate Association and continues his long time law practice within the community.

Judge Sirlin is also a teacher for the NYS Continuing Judicial Education Program and has achieved the highest possible ("AV") attorney rating by his peers.

Village Trustees serve two-year terms and the Village Justices serve for a term of four years. All three candidates have been endorsed by the Conservative and Independence parties.

Meet the Candidates

The Mamaroneck Republicans are inviting anyone who would like to meet their candidates to a barbeque to be held at the Mamaroneck Elks Club (located behind the Mamaroneck Diner) on September 21, 2008 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2008 and all registered voters in the Village are eligible to vote.
