(May 24, 2007) "The 2007 Mamaroneck High School Varsity baseball team has proven that they are a force to be reckoned with," said Colleen Hagan, reporting at the end of a regular season in which the Tigers finished with a 21-3 record, not losing a game in Section 1 competition.  They have earned the # 1 seed for the Section 1 tournament and will play their first round on Saturday, May 26 at MHS.

"The Tigers have had what many might call a 'Cinderella season', but those who know them, believe that this season is no fluke," said Ms. Hagan, whose son plays on the team.   "They are a group of hard-working, dedicated players and coaches who know how to win."  In this week's NYS Sportswriters Association rankings, the Tigers are ranked # 3 in the state.
