JOAN M. DAPOLITE
Joan M. Dapolite (nee Peters), of Larchmont, NY and New Fairfield, CT, passed away on December 4, 2007 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Joan was born in the Bronx, NY on June 14, 1940 to the late Evelyn and Michael Peters, Jr.Joan graduated from St. Catherine's Academy in 1958 and went to work for Citibank, where she met and then married Bartholomew N. Dapolite on October 14, 1961. Joan and Bart settled in Larchmont where they raised their family and were parishioners of Sts. John and Paul Church.
Joan was a valued employee of ITT Continental Banking Company and R.H. Donnelley, respectively, where she worked in accounting. Weekends and summers were spent at her summer home on Candlewood Lake surrounded by her children, grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Joan was predeceased by Bart who passed away in May of 1989. Joan is survived by her children, daughter Elizabeth Anderson and husband James of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Michael Dapolite and wife Gail of New Fairfield, CT and son, John Dapolite of Larchmont, NY. She was beloved grandmother of James, Rebecca and Lauren Anderson and Michael and Jennifer Dapolite. Joan is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Goyette and husband, Paul of Fort Lauderdale, FL and her sister, Mary Jane Williams and husband Kenneth of Montclair, NJ. She also leaves behind loving aunts, cousins, brothers and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Visiting Friday, December 7 from 7-9 pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Larchmont. Mass Saturday, December 8 at 10 am at Sts. John and Paul Church. Interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
