PAUL R. ROSSPaul R. Ross, 46, died November 24th in Kyoto, Japan, after a long illness. He grew up in Larchmont, attended Mamaroneck schools and graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1979. He was a graduate of Hamilton College and earned a MA from Temple University. Paul was a professor of English at Konan University in Kobe, Japan. He had lived in Japan for 23 years.In addition to his wife, Misaki Nakano Ross, Paul’s survivors in Japan include his mother-in-law, his brother and sister-in-law and nephew. He is the son of the late Paul R. Ross and in the United States is survived by his mother, Mimi Walker Ross Carey, his sister Amy, niece Carolyn Hanway and nephew Tim Hanway, his brother Peter and his wife Leslie, niece Alix Ross and her husband Evan Guthrie, and nephew Paul Ross, his brother Tim, his wife Joan, niece Christine and nephews Michael and Matthew. Paul was a talented teacher, linguist and musician who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family asks that contributions in his memory be made to charity. |
