GEORGE J. VLADENIDES
George J. Vladenides, age 77, of Somers, NY died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Northern Westchester Hospital Center, Mount Kisco. Mr. Vladenides was born in Mamaroneck, NY July 5, 1930 to James and Diane Vladenides. He married Joan Codella on April 20, 1958 in New Rochelle, NY.George was employed for 33 years by EcoLab as a territory sales manager. He was an avid golfer, bowler and NY Yankee fan. And was co-founder of the Mamaroneck Cardinals baseball team where he played the position of catcher.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Joan Vladenides. And he is the loving father of Barbara Wolejko and her husband, Steven of South Windsor, CT. And Deborah Silvestri and her husband, Pelino of Wethersfield, CT. Devoted grandfather of Kristin, Alyssa, Brooke and Adam Wolejko and Justin and Amy Silvestri. Son-in-law of Anne and Joseph Codella. Also survived by several sisters-in-law , brothers in law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Jane Williams.
Friends may call at CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, KATONAH, NY on Tuesday, November 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at St. Josephs RC Church, Croton Falls, NY at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
