DANIEL J. DERUBIS

Daniel J. DeRubis, lifelong resident of Mamaroneck, died September 8, 2007 at age 83. Born June 9, 1924 to Donato and Bertha (Horrigan) DeRubis.

A veteran of the US Army Air Corps, he served in the Pacific during WWII attaining the rank of Corporal. He was the two-time recipient of the Purple Heart. Daniel worked in auto body repair. In 1951 he married Patricia (Weigold).

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Evans (husband James), sisters Josephine Santoro and Tina Pinto and grandson William Balfe. He is predeceased by a daughter Gail DeRubis, sister Lois Trimboli and brothers-in-law, Anthony Santoro, Dominick Pinto and Joseph Trimboli.

Visitation Tuesday, September 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at COXE and GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Road Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 12 at 10 am Most Holy Trinity R.C. Church followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
