JAMES THOMAS NAUGHTON
James Thomas Naughton, born July 13, 1939 in New York City, died after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.The son of the late James T. Naughton, Sr. and Marjorie O'Connor Naughton, he was raised in Larchmont, NY, attending St. Augustine's Grammar School, Iona Prep, and he graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1961. An avid sailor and golfer, Jim was an member of the Larchmont Yacht Club and its Race Committee for over 40 years.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen (Snyder) and his daughters, Meg (Garvin Hammer), Kara (Dual Macintyre), and Molly (Christopher Nason), as well as his sisters, Marjorie and Georgeann Naughton, and brother, John Naughton. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Mimi, Ian, and Lachlan Macintyre; and Caleigh Nason, and his niece, Kathleen Snyder and nephew, William Snyder.
Visiting hours will be at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY on Tuesday, September 4 from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine's Church, Larchmont, Wednesday, September 5th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring his memory may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Dept. of Medical Oncology, c/o David Ilson, MD, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10022.
