ROBERT SOLOMON M.D.
Dr. Robert Solomon, of Mamaroneck died August 17, 2007 at age 75. Born in Jersey City to Samuel and Eva (Stern) Solomon, he served in the Army during the Korean War as a Private First Class.Dr. Solomon was a physician who worked in private practice for thirty years. He served as the past president of the United Hospital Medical Staff, a former member of the United Hospital Board of Trustees, and also served on the faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY Eye & Ear Infirmary and St. Agnes Hospital. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants.
Beloved husband of Bonnie (Rubin). In addition to his wife he is survived by children, David, Yoram and Tara Solomon, grandson Jordan Solomon and sisters Geraldine Phillips and Pearl Shampain. Predeceased by a sister Shirley Flitter.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 21 at 1:00 pm, Cedar Park Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to Phelps Memorial Hospice or American Lung Association. ZION MEMORIAL CHAPEL in Mamaroneck is conducting the arrangements. 914-381-1809.
