JULIA ANN GILLIGAN

Julia Ann Gilligan passed away on April 12th, in Redondo Beach, California at the age of 79. She is survived by her five children, Adell Kraivanger, Maura Pabon, John Gilligan, Patricia Gregory and Kevin Gilligan, and eight grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of New York until age 76, Julie especially loved Larchmont. She moved to Redondo Beach to live closer to her family there.

After her husband John passed away in 1973, Julie returned to the workplace to work for the Girl Scouts, International Paper Corp., the National Center for Learning Disabilities, and in later years wrote for a number of local periodicals including the Larchmont Gazette. She was an active community participant serving with the League of Women Voters, the Local Summit Organization and the Community Services Directory Committee.

A Memorial Mass has been scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 3:00 pm at the Manhattanville College Chapel. She will be buried next to her husband in New York.
