MHS Class Battle Requires Courage, Cooperation

photos by FAL Photography

Battle of the Classes (November 20, 2007) This was a battle that required extraordinary courage - teenagers had to appear in public wearing war paint and performing unrehearsed athletic feats that required unpracticed levels of coordination and collaboration. It wasn't enough to be strong for the Mamaroneck High School Battle of the Classes, you had to be focused, enthusiastic and, perhaps, silly.

The battle went on all week, with the high point taking place in the gym on Thursday, November 8. The class teams earned points for tugs of war, balancing on hoola hoops and moving complicated sled contraptions across the gym floor.

Who won? If the goal was to bond with your classmates, generate school spirit and whoop it up, everyone won. Otherwise, it was the seniors who racked up the top score.
