DOMINICK LEO SARLO

Dominick Leo Sarlo, 92, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Born in Mamaroneck, NY and a (25) year resident of Indian Orchard, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Emilia (Massone) Sarlo.

Dominick was a retired bricklayer, who worked in the general contracting industry. He was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Indian Orchard and was a member of the parish Holy Name Society. He was a life member and Hall of Fame member of the Flint Park Sports Association of Larchmont, NY.

Dominick was an Army veteran of World War II and received the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He will be sorely missed by all.

He is survived by a son, John Sarlo of Somers, NY; (2) brothers, John Sarlo of Harrison, NY; Buster Sarlo of Marco Island, FL; (2) sisters; Catherine Ciraco of Mamaroneck, NY, Mary Capiola of Harrison, NY and a granddaughter, Jane Parker of Buffalo, NY. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Eliane Sarlo in 2002.

The Funeral will be Saturday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
