RUTH LONGHURST

Ruth Longhurst, 99, a long time resident of Larchmont, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006.

Beloved wife of the late William Stevenson, David Hummel, and Stanley Longhurst. Loving mother of Ruth S. White, Barbara Hoffman, Robert Stevenson, and the late William Stevenson. Devoted grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Longhurst was born in New York City on October 4, 1907 to Luella and Judge Walter C. Noyes. She grew up in both New York City and Old Lyme, CT. After marrying, she moved to Larchmont, NY, where she was active in the Woman's Association of Larchmont, The Larchmont Avenue Presbyterian Church and the Larchmont Senior Citizens Center. She was also an active member of the Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck, NY.
