WILLIAM J. NEALON
William J. Nealon, age 62, died peacefully in his sleep on November 9, 2006
after a brief illness. Born December 9, 1943 to Dr. and Mrs. James R.
Nealon of Riverdale, NY, he was a graduate of The College of the Holy
Cross and the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
A longtime employee of International Paper Company, where he rose through the
management ranks in various financial positions, he spent the latter part
of his career as an independent consultant.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ann (nee Carroll),
his daughters Ann Petronio (Everett), Kathryn Matthews (James) and Megan
Nealon; and his sons James (Ewa) and Chris. He is also survived by his
parents, three sisters (Margaret Regan and Marilyn and Deborah Nealon) and
his brother Richard. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and James.
He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Mary and Christopher
Petronio and Zofia Nealon, by whom he was affectionately known as "Grumpy".
A life-long member of the Larchmont Yacht Club, and an avid Kayaker, Bill
spent countess happy hours walking his dog Max around the brook.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, November 12th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at
John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held at 10 am on Monday, November 13th at Sts. John & Paul Church. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Calvary Hospital, 1740
