JESSIE CAPASSO

Jessie Capasso, a lifetime Mamaroneck resident, died October 16, 2006 at age 84. A loving person with a warm smile, she dedicated her life to her family and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was born July 1, 1922 to Saverio and Jennie (Marino) Amabile.

Jessie worked as a Teacher's Aide at Mamaroneck High School from 1972 -2001. In 1944 she married her childhood sweetheart, Albert Capasso, at St. Vito's Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mamaroneck Fire Department as well as the Columbiettes and the Centurettes.

Jessie is survived by her beloved husband, Albert and her cherished children, Douglas Capasso and Debbie Capasso. Dear sister of Angelina Donahue (Joseph) and devoted aunt of 107 nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by so many dear friends. She is predeceased by her sister, Gloria Hayden and her husband James.

Visitation Friday, October 20 from 5 to 9 PM, COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 21 at 10 AM at St. Vito's, followed by committal at Woodlawn Cemetery.
