MARGARET A. MAGUIRE

Born February 8, 1956, Margaret passed away suddenly on October 13, 2006. A loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, she will be missed by all who knew her. On June 9, 1984 she married Eugene F. Maguire Jr. at Sts. John and Paul Church.

In addition to her beloved husband Gene and devoted parents Thomas and Catherine “Kay“ (Duffy) Santoro, Margaret is survived by her three loving daughters, Margaret Elizabeth “Meggie“, Catherine Julia “Katie“, and Elizabeth Jean “Betsy“. She is the sister of Thomas P. Santoro Jr., Jean Shortliffe (Del), Mary Bracken (Gary), Catherine Gallagher (Francis), Elizabeth Slocum (Anthony) and Michael J. Santoro. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret graduated from Mamaroneck High School, class of 1974. She attended Georgetown University and was a graduate of the University of Maryland Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing. She was commissioned as a 1st Lt. and resigned her commission as a Major. Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse for the Keller Army Hospital at West Point before going on to work at Greenwich Hospital and private duty.

For more than 20 years she was a member of the Larchmont Shore Club. She volunteered her time and talents to coaching girls' basketball at Sts. John and Paul School and to Larchmont Friends of the Family.

Visitation Monday EVENING only, October 16 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, October 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at COXE AND GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Post Road, Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 18 at 10 am at Sts. John and Paul R.C. Church followed by interment at Gate of Heaven. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 245 Main Street, White Plains, NY 10601.
