LISA VOLLMER

Lisa Vollmer, 45 of Great Barrington Mass died on Friday, September 15th in a tragic car accident. Lisa, who was raised in Larchmont, NY graduated from Mammaroneck High School in 1978 and SUNY Oneonta in 1983. She loved to travel and visited many countries in Europe, Asia, South America and lived in Japan for two years. She had a great sense of humor and made friends easily wherever she went.

Lisa loved the outdoors, skiing and biking. She was an accomplished runner completing marathons in New York and Philadelphia. She received a masters in Public Health and received her R.D. from the University of North Carolina in 1999. She was a valued and respected employee at Canyon Ranch Resort in the Berkshires where she has worked passionately since her graduation. Additionally she recently received a certificate to teach Yoga and did so at local studios. She had a great love of animals, expecially cats.

Lisa is survived by her parents Dr. Al and Dorothy Vollmer of Larchmont, New York, and her cat Beckham.

A memorial celebration will take place Sunday, October 29th at 7 pm at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church 54th and Lexington Avenue, NYC.
