EVELYN TORRE FOLZ

Evelyn Torre Folz, a long time resident of Larchmont NY passed away suddenly on August 26,2006. Evelyn was born in Ellsworth, Maine to John and Juanita Torre on May 3, 1929. She graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1947 and married Sylvester C. Folz, a USAF Senior Master Sgt. in Larchmont, NY, in 1949. Evelyn spent her early-married years raising her family, while stationed with her husband in England and in various US assignments in Texas, California, Colorado, Arizona and New York. Her husband died in 1981.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved daughter Allison and son-in-law Jerry Morano of Rye Brook, NY, her sons Lawrence and daughter-in-law Jaye of Midland, Texas and John and daughter-in-law Lynn of Richland Hills, Texas as well as her brother Andrew and sister-in-law Carol Torre of Stamford, CT. Her pride and joy was her loving grandson Steven Morano of Rye Brook, NY.

Evelyn, who worked for many years at the former Larchmont Hardware store, was an avid reader, who loved Sinatra, the Mets and especially her NY Giants. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, August 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY.
