ROBERT J. FUTTERMAN
Robert J. Futterman passed away suddenly on August 9, 2006. A Funeral
Service was held at Temple Emanuel in Rye and was followed by burial at
Sharon Gardens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lainy, his devoted children, Amy and
Jeffrey and their spouses, Steven and Nicole. His grandchildren, Lauren,
Matthew and Joshua, who called him “Papa Bob, will miss him greatly.
His brother, Howard, passed away in 2000.
Robert was born on March 28, 1932, and grew up in the Bronx. Growing up,
he succeeded in every sport he played, but specifically excelled in
track. He ran track for DeWitt Clinton and at Columbia University. He
once ran in the Millrose Games. At Columbia, he studied accounting and
became a Certified Public Accountant with his own practice.
Robert was an avid tennis player and was a member of Mamaroneck Beach
and Yacht Club. Other passions included a love of sports, his favorite
teams were the Giants, Mets, Knicks and Rangers. He loved reading,
music and was a terrific dancer. All who knew Robert, will always remember
his great sense of humor, his love for life, his terrific smile and his
caring ways.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for all the
kindness, love and support expressed to them at this sad time.
