MARION HAGERTY

Marion Hagerty, a life long resident of Larchmont, NY, and also a resident of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home August 17, 2006. Her family was by her side as she ended her courageous struggle with a prolonged illness. She was born in Port Chester, NY, June 4, 1939 to Catherine and Raymond Richards.

Marion is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ed, daughter, Karen Curtis and her husband Bruce of Whitehouse Station, NJ, her son Kevin Hagerty and his wife Beth of Aspen, Colorado, her daughter Kathleen Hagerty of Rowayton, CT, and her son Keith Hagerty and his wife Lauren of Larchmont, NY. She was a devoted grandmother to Dakota, Canyon, Hannah, Taylor and Julianne. She was the loving sister of Gill Richards and his wife J.J. of Stuart, Florida, Margie Golden and her husband Bill of Dallas, Texas, and the late John Richards and his wife Karen of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Marion was very passionate about her family and many friends. She was a graduate of Marjorie Webster College, and for many years was a teacher of special education with BOCES. She then went on to become Director of Tennis at New Rochelle Racquet Club and was actively involved in the development of Junior tennis programs. Marion was a long time member of Orienta Beach Club where she enjoyed tennis, paddle and bridge.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont, NY, where Marion was also baptized. The celebrant will be Rev. Msgr. Harry Byrne who has been a close family friend for many years. The service will be held Wednesday, August 23, at 11:00 AM a close family friend for many years. The service will be held .
