CHARLES GROSJEAN
Charles Grosjean, a resident of Mamaroneck for 56 years,
died on June 13, 2006 at the Schnurmacher Nursing Home. Charles
was born on April 19, 1916 to the late Charles and Anna Grosjean
in Philadephia, PA.
He was raised in Jenkinstown, PA and graduated from Jenkins
town HS. He was a Mechanical Engineer graduate of the University
of PA. He performed in an all male “Men About Town“ annual
production. He was also an active member of the Alpha-Chi-Rho
Fraternity.
Charles was an “active Dad“ at Rye Neck HS. He was also involved
in the University Club, Rye Neck Association, and the Old
Timers. He was also active in Scouts.
Charles was with the Yarway Company in Blue Bell, PA. Eventually
becoming head of the NYS, Eastern New England and Canada.
The company product was “Steam Plant Equipment“ and was largely
his navy contract and the Nuclear Subma rine “The Nautilus“
in the Electric Boatyard in New London, CT.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice; his sons,
Ray (Pam), Richard (Nancy), daughter Barbara (Ken) Lindhjem
