THOMAS CHARLES COLEMAN
Thomas Charles Coleman, a 42-year resident of Larchmont, passed away
June 1, 2006. He was born October 3, 1952, in Oak Park, Illinois to
Joan and Howard Coleman. A graduate of Mamaroneck High School, he
attended Wagner College.
Mr. coleman began his career with Longinnes Wittnauer
Direct Marketing. Subsequently, he was a systems analyst for J.C.
Penney, Inc. before becoming senior quality control analyst for Marine
Midland Bank. He continued his career with The Hertz Corporation as
corporate administrative methods engineer before becoming Vice
President, Business Manager, Global Client Marketing, for Bankers
Trust Company. After serving as Controller of Falcon Investments, he
then began his own company, providing business, finance, and technical
change management strategies for various organizations. He consulted
on a spectrum of information management areas and frequently served as
a conference speaker on technology expense management and recovery
and as a guest lecturer at both St. John's University and Hunter
College on communication and media.
Mr. Coleman was a longtime member of the Forum for World Affairs,
The Japan Society, Mensa, and Data Processing Management Association.
For many years he served in the Larchmont Volunteer Fire Department,
including as Captain of the Patrol Company, and has served as an
active volunteer at Chatsworth Avenue School which his daughter attends.
Loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend, he is survived by his
wife, Deirdre (Jordan) and daughter, Mackenzie, of Larchmont, by his
brothers, Mark of New Rochelle and Reid of Rehoboth, Massachusetts,
by his sister, Lynn Ferrari of Rye, and by seven nieces and two nephews.
Visiting Saturday, June 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Sunday, June 4
from 1 to 3 pm with a funeral service starting at 3 pm at Fox Funeral
Home. Friends and family are making contributions in memory of Thomas
Coleman to the Anatoll and Arthur Charitable Foundation at the
Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center, 2 Longview Avenue, White Plains,
NY 10601.
