CARMELA GARUFI

Carmela Garufi, a Mamaroneck resident, died April 22, 2006, having recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Born April 3, 1906 in S. Teresa, Sicily to Carmelo and Maria Paluci, she worked as a seamstress and dressmaker for ILGWU for over 20 years.

Loving wife of the late Antonio “Anthony“ Garufi. Survived by her devoted sons: John Garufi, Arthur Garufi and Charles Garufi (wife Eleanor). Loving grandmother of four and great-grandmother of 13. Predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation Wednesday, April 26 from 6 to 9 pm, COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass, Thursday, April 27 at 10 am, St. Vito's RC Church, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
