RUTHANNA LONG

Ruthanna Long, a Larchmont resident, died April 19, at Sound Shore Medical Center. She was born in Agency, Missouri on October 21, 1916 to Harry and Ruth Thomas.

She graduated from the University of Missouri, served in the Red Cross during World War II and was a pioneer as a woman writing and producing in radio at KNBC in Kansas City. In New York, she worked for many years as an editor at McGraw Hill.

Mrs. Long was married to the late Jack B. Long. Her two daughters, Rebecca and Kate and grandchildren; Nicholas and Jack Reisman, Charlotte and Caleb Cwikowski, survive her.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 24 at 11:00 am at the Larchmont Avenue Church.
