JEANNE EVERETT HERBERT
Jeanne Everett Herbert passed away on March 14th at 12:03 am in La Jolla,
California with her two sons, Shane and Kyle, by her side. Jeanne was
born on November 6, 1922 in East Orange, New Jersey. She was the
daughter of Seymour B. and Vera Everett, the third of five children in the
family.
A graduate from Marylawn of the Oranges, Jeanne attended College of St.
Elizabeth in Convent Station, New Jersey. She pursued various career
interests in real estate and administrative pursuits.
She married Richard J. FitzMaurice II in 1944 and they resided in Texas,
New Jersey, and New York. She married Colonel John J. Herbert USAF in
December 1974 and they resided in Larchmont, New York.
Jeanne was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She will be remembered for her sterling sense of humor and sparkling
giggling laughter. She shared and delighted friends and family with her
poignant creative writings. Jeanne gave of herself in numerous charitable
endeavors.
Jeanne was predeceased by her brothers William B., Frederick A., and
Seymour B. Everett. She is survived by her sister Ruth E. McDonough of
Sea Girt, New Jersey. Survivors include; daughter Karen M. Yone, son
Richard J. FitzMaurice III, son Kevin E. FitzMaurice, daughter Veronica
FitzMaurice, son Shane B. FitzMaurice, son Brian J. FitzMaurice, and
son Kyle F.X. FitzMaurice. She was predeceased by her son Colin S.
FitzMaurice. Jeanne leaves eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jeanne will be interned on Monday, April 24th at 8:15 am at Arlington
National Cemetery next to her beloved Jack.
