ELIZABETH DAVIS

Elizabeth Davis, affectionately known as “Betty“, a lifetime resident of Mamaroneck, departed this life Monday, February 27, 2006. Born May 17, 1918 to Frank and Emeline (Allen) Miller in Mamaroneck, where she graduated the public schools, and received Dress Making and Designing in NYC. Employed as a Social Worker for Westchester Association of Retarted Citizens. A life member of Barry Avenue AME Zion Church, having served as Secretary, Trustee, Missionary and Stewardess Board #2. United in marriage to William Henry Davis, who predeceased her.

Surviving are a devoted daughter, Penny Margeotes; sister, Gay Faulkner; sister-in-law, Minnie Murphy and others.

Visiting Friday, March 3 from 6 to 8 pm, AME Zion Church, 645 N. Barry Avenue, Mamaroneck. Funeral Saturday, March 4 at 9 am, at the church. Interment, Beechwoods Cemetery. Arrangements, Barney T. McClanahan F.H., Inc.
