LORIN MICHELE (DREZIN) TEMPLE
Lorin Michele (Drezin) Temple, 37, of Larchmont, NY, died Tuesday,
February 21, 2006 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York City.
Lori was born on December 16, 1968 in New Brunswick, NJ to Norm Drezin and Fran Fannin,
and grew up in Gaithersburg, MD. She attended Clemson University, earning a B.S. in 1990.
Lori moved with friends to Aspen, CO and always cherished her memories from the mountains.
In 1993 she began her career with The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, GA, where she met her
husband Rob. After wonderful years spent in Atlanta, Lori and Rob married in September
1997 and followed their dreams to Sydney, Australia, meeting life-long friends through
their involvement with the Sydney Olympic Games. Their beautiful daughter, Sophia Jane,
was born in Sydney in 1999. In 2001, the Temple family relocated to Larchmont, NY.
In the hearts and minds of family and friends, Lori will always be an adoring mother,
devoted wife, and caring daughter, sister and friend. Lori was a sensitive, funny,
strong and beautiful person who will be missed by many.
Thanks in part to the remarkable efforts of family and friend’s, Lori was able to amaze
us all with her strength and bravery during her 4 year battle with lung cancer. Lori,
who never smoked, participated in an investigational drug study that may lead to further
development of a treatment for lung cancer.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband Rob; loving daughter Sophie; father and stepmother
Norm and Anita Drezin; mother and stepfather Fran and Robert Fannin; sister Lynne
Favreau and her husband Rich and their son Zachary; stepsister Dina Walker and her husband
John and their daughter Gillian; stepsister Jenny Fannin; stepbrother Carl Fannin;
mother-in-law Jane Temple; brothers-in-law Scott & Kenneth Temple and their wives Cynthia
and Connie and their children Lindsey, Kathryn, Grace, Austin, Paul, Blake and Ian Temple;
and a large number of close and devoted friends.
A service and reception celebrating Lori’s life will be held at the Larchmont Avenue Church
in Larchmont, NY on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to immediately
follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Lorin Michele Temple to
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. All monies contributed will be
dedicated to lung cancer research.
